  B.  Recent Neurolaw Books  

    1. Dr. Kent Kiehl, Professor of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Law at the University of New Mexico, and director of Mobile Brain Imaging and the Mind Research Network, has published a new book on psychopathy:  The Psychopath Whisperer .  In addition to conducting research on incarcerated psychopaths, Dr. Kiehl has served as an expert witness in criminal cases involving psychopathy.  
    2. Dr. Adrian Raine, Richard Perry University Professor and Chair of the Department of Criminology at the University of Pennsylvania, recently published The Anatomy of Violence:  The Biological Roots of Crime .  Exploring famous criminal cases, the book presents the latest research on the biology behind criminal behavior.

D.  Conferences & Speaker Series  

    1. Law and Neuroscience:  Revising the Legal Standard for Insanity: The European University Institute and the Centre for Judicial Cooperation are co-sponsoring Law and Neuroscience:  Revising the Legal Standard for Insanity  on June 6 – 7, 2014 at Sala Europa, Villa Schifanoia.  Additional information about the conference, including the program and registration, is available at http://ethicalbrain.blogspot.it/2013/11/neurolaw-conference-on-6-7-june-2014.html          
    2. Imaging the Brain, Changing Minds: Chronic Pain Neuroimaging and the Law:  On       April 24 – 25, the Law & Health Care Program at the University of Maryland Carey Law School, the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science co-sponsored the roundtable: Imaging the Brain, Changing Minds: Chronic Pain Neuroimaging and the Law .  The interdisciplinary event featured neuroimaging researchers, legal       decision makers, and legal scholars.  To read more about the event, visit http://www.law.umaryland.edu/faculty/conferences/detail.html?conf=166       
    3. Rewiring Juvenile Justice: The Intersection of Developmental Neuroscience and Legal Policy: On May 9, the University of Wisconsin Neuroscience & Public Policy Program hosted B.J. Casey, The Sackler Professor of Developmental Psychobiology at the Weill Medical College at Cornell University, who delivered a lecture in the program’s seminar series titled  Rewiring Juvenile Justice: The Intersection of Developmental Neuroscience and Legal Policy.
